Design for a Deluxe season

The Henry Moore Foundation, based at the home of artist Henry Moore in Perry Green, Hertfordshire, launches its 2010 Visitor Season and major new exhibition Henry Moore Deluxe: books, prints & portfolios, at a time when public interest in Moore’s work is stronger than ever as Tate Britain’s Henry Moore exhibition attracts thousands of visitors.

Wonder have been fortunate enough to design a suite of materials for the 2010 Visitor Season including a contemporary new visitor map which guides people though Moore’s former home, extensive sculpture gardens, studios and gallery. Bold textural patterns and a restrained colour palette work together to aid in the delivery of a clear visitor journey through this extensive experience.

The identity for the exhibition uses Moore’s signature combined with serif typeface and a deep red device which reflects the typical shape of a book, print or portfolio to generate a lavish feel. For the exhibition preview invite, this has been combined with an unexpected graphic work from Moore – Zebra to create a playful piece of print.

"Wonder developed a successful visual identity for an exhibition at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds, which is part of The Henry Moore Foundation.  On the strength of that we decided to invite them to work on visitor material for The Foundation's headquarters at Perry Green in Hertfordshire, Moore's former home.  We're pleased to say that our visitor numbers have increased significantly in the first few weeks of opening, and believe Wonder's designs have played an important part in attracting people here."
