PANDA are a performing arts network, supporting the arts community through networking and development opportunities. Approaching Wonder, PANDA asked us to refresh their brand and re-develop their website to create an engaging and attractive online home to encourage their members to network, post opportunities, events and news, and to promote their own profiles.
To re-invigorate the brand, we created a new logo and strengthened the palette available to the client team through use of a consistent typeface (Museo) and bold, fresh colour set.
Online, headline information is captured in hexagonal shapes and in places these form honeycomb pattern to represent the connected nature of the members and their disciplines.
We built PANDA's website using MIYO, our Content Management System, developed specifically to meet the needs of brands in arts, culture, heritage and leisure. We presented a shop-window homepage with a number of modules to highlight events, news and quick links, as well as to parade the buzz of activity from PANDA members.
Highlighting a handful of the sites features, performing artists can enhance their own member profiles, using images and video to create a much more personal experience for each artist to express their work and current activity. By being able to add friends to each profile, the networking functions are further enhanced. To encourage artists to update their profiles, the most active profiles are presented on the homepage - great publicity for any member.
A private member's board enables artists to share information and pose questions to their peers, intensifying the site as an online meeting and dialogue sphere. Further features boosted in the main navigation include donate and join, both supporting PANDA's fundraising strategy.
