New website for Richmix
Based in the heart of East London, Rich Mix is an arts venue, charity and social enterprise that offers live music, film, dance, theatre, comedy, spoken word and a range of creative activities for people of all ages and all cultures. All profits go back into supporting education, arts and community activities which nurture new and local talent.
Rich Mix commissioned Wonder Associates to plan, design, build and launch a new MIYO made website to reflect the brand and to deliver increased functionality throughout. Following detailed requirements capture and page-by-page planning via the Wireframe process, we sought to design a new website with maximum impact and appeal.
We made use of full-scale background images and angular slices drawn from the 'x' in the logo to dramatic effect. For example, the Home page carousel plays with these angles to hold image and video, whilst providing modularised content units underneath for heavy promotion of films and a search-able what's on calendar.
Highlights of this MIYO-made website (http://www.richmix.org.uk/) include:
- Ability to upload as much video and images as desired
- Complex What's On searchable by filter types and dates
- Dynamic pull-in of FREE film trailers
- More seamless connection to Patron Base ticketing
- Enhanced venue hire pages with downloads and enquiry forms
- New e-marketing templates, populated via the same MIYO CMS
